kat_wcg_01.png The fight was on this afternoon when se.png Frostbeule, se.png Karjen, se.png TekNizzle and se.png Luode battled it out for a slot and ticket to China. Most of all this was a battle between the 2 potential WCG winners se.png Karjen and se.png Frostbeule.

se.png Karjen seemed to have a struggling start but quickly came back in his dominating pattern and on WCG-Mecas he did 4 rounds within 0.20 of the world record in a row! He kept on building his lead till he reached the Finalist status. This gave se.png Frostbeule a chance to fight back and so he did. He won 2 rounds in a row and 1 of those rounds was even 0.01 infront of se.png Karjen, beating him in the last corner! But se.png Frostbeule got stuck at 90 points out of 100 as in the very last run it was se.png Karjen who remained cool and kept the lead.

So that concludes probably one of the most important qualifiers, one of the 2 title favourites is out! Big congratulations to se.png Karjen.

UPDATE !!!

We have just recieved info that Frostbeule has a chance to go the WCG in China afterall! They have decided to give him an oppertunity to go, however he will have to finance the whole trip and license to enter himself. Source: Trackmania.se

But I feel sorry for Frosty now, you both have equal chances to
win the WCG and it was not fair to only give one out place. It's not their fault
that they are both swedish.
Maybe they should've given the former ESWC Champion
a wildcard? Would've been nice..
